Why 7-9 Months is the Perfect Age for a Baby Photoshoot (The Sitter Session)
While newborn photos are incredibly precious, there is a magical sweet spot later in the first year that many parents overlook: the Sitter Session, usually scheduled between 7 and 9 months.
1. Stability Without Crawling Away
At this age, babies can sit up confidently on their own but haven't quite mastered crawling away at lightning speed. This allows us to pose them on beautiful cushions, inside rustic wooden tubs, or among cute props.
2. Authentic Smiles and Giggles
Unlike newborns, 8-month-old babies interact intensely with the camera. They smile at funny noises, clap their hands, make direct eye contact, and showcase their unique personalities.
